“Although we continue to see the impact of trauma or devastation from those critically injured or murdered at the hands of loved ones, Women’s Resources of Monroe County is committed to encourage safety and healing. In fact, for over 30 years, we have proudly served survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. This determination can be realized through the wisdom and tenacity of critical volunteers, and empowered staff and visionary leaders who clearly embrace a goal to eliminate violence in our community.
Women, children and men have trusted our expertise and sought out our services when in need of crisis emergency sheltering, 24 hour hotline support, counseling, legal or medical advocacy. Vital members of community businesses, faith communities, schools, university settings and human service professionals seek our qualified personnel for prevention, education, outreach and supportive services.
As we continue to serve those who are unnamed, we thank you for your support and commit to serve with respect, quality of care and achieve positive outcomes with a sense of dignity through the eyes of survivors.”
