Prevention and Awareness
Women’s Resources is committed to helping all residents of Monroe County. Through our Prevention Education and community awareness programs, Women’s Resources raises awareness and educates the public about the issues of domestic and sexual violence, as well as works to prevent violence and abuse through our prevention education programs.
We do this by offering free prevention education programs to schools, churches and other community organizations, working with colleges and universities on special projects, providing free educational material for parents and educators, by hosting events such as Take Back The NIght and Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigils.
If you are interested in bringing any prevention or awareness programs to your school, group, or faith community please contact the Prevention and Outreach Department at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Virtual interactions with children can prevent professionals from assessing a child's safety as they would be able to in person. With information from the PA Family Support Alliance, we created a short video on what signs to look out for and how to follow up on suspicions of abuse when interacting with children virtually.
