Development Director (Full Time, 37.5 hours/week)

The Development Director is at the heart of our efforts to support survivors and will lead our fundraising and development initiatives. Experience with nonprofit fundraising, events management, marketing, and public relations is required. Candidate must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, work well as a part of a team as well as independently, and computer skills including Microsoft Suite. Experience with donor management systems is required; specifically, Donor Perfect.

Qualifications needed are a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business). Counselor/Advocate – Full Time (37.5 hour/week) 

Counselor/Advocates are outcomes driven, positive individuals with a passion for providing counseling and advocacy services on behalf of victims/survivors of domestic and/or sexual abuse.

Services are provided in our main office, satellite locations, and in other community settings. This position is responsible for providing crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, advocacy, and accompaniment, and outreach/awareness to victims/survivors of domestic/sexual assault.

Successful applicants will possess experience and documented achievements in crisis work with adults and children, and be open to flexible work schedules. Reliable transportation required. Local travel required. Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field required, Master’s preferred, additional life experience respected. Must complete 70-hour counselor/advocate required training.

Legal Advocate (Full Time, 37.5 hours/week)

The Legal Advocate is responsible for advocating for survivors’ rights, providing information to assist survivors in making choices among various legal options, support through the criminal/civil justice system, and working with legal and law enforcement agencies to strengthen victim-centered responses to these crimes. Additionally, they will be responsible for training within these systems and for ongoing legal program development. Legal advocacy is not legal advice or the practice of law, which requires a qualified licensed attorney.

Successful applicant should possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (social work, psychology, legal studies, etc), an understanding about PA laws and legal proceedings. Prevention Education Specialist (Full-Time 37.5 hours/week)

The Prevention Education Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing prevention education programs in schools, community education, and awareness. You will also be responsible for data collection and reporting, advocacy, and crisis response. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as technical skills in multi-media presentation; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, excellent time management and organizational skills are required. Experience in educational and/or informational program presentations to children and teens is required.

Shelter Counselor/Advocate (Full Time, 3rd Shift partial weekends, 37.5 hours/week)

The successful applicants will possess experience and documented achievements in their work with diverse individuals who have experienced abuse and trauma, and the ability to manage crises with adults and children.

Applicants must possess the ability to work within a residential/shelter setting with families in crisis and be able to work independently within established professional, and ethical boundaries. They must demonstrate strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred and life experience is respected. Must complete a required 69-hour crisis intervention training.
